Matmisjonen.no is a food blog run by journalist and photographer Hanne Stensvold. Matmisjonen is Norwegian for the food mission. Hannes’ focus is on food as delicious and nutritious, not “lo-carb”, “lo-fat” or “raw”. This lead us to the aesthetics of scandinavian illustrations from the fifties and sixties; appetising and positive, as well as charming. We turned food and kitchen utensils into missionaries spreading the glad tidings of cooking.

The visual profile is applied on tote bags, aprons, tea towels and posters as well as giving Hannes basic wordpress blog matmisjonen.no a personal look. The illustrations were used in her first book Matmisjonen, real food from ten bloggers, by Hanne Stensvold and Nikolai Blumenthal.
